DREAMWREATHE, a name that had its modest beginnings when some creative and technically strong individuals met at a half-way house in Kolkata, with a desire to create content that entertains and enlightens. It is a Media Consultancy and Production Company in Kolkata, set up in 2018. As our name proposes, we are a group that has been woven by dreams and we create to wreathe the fantasies of our Clients. We invest wholeheartedly in the quality and practicality and guarantee you the smoothest of executions. It is a brand that continues to push the limits of what an independent Media House can do and is inseparable from innovative quality.

Dilip Payra (Sohm)

Filmmaker/Director/ Co-founder

Dilip Payra (Sohm) is a multifaceted artist whose passion for storytelling spans film, television, and documentaries. His artistic odyssey began with photography, where he honed his skills under the guidance of Indian photography legend Benu Sen. From there, he seamlessly transitioned into the world of cinema and television. As an associate director, Sohm contributed to several noteworthy films, including PRIME TIME, NAMEPLATE, SAAT PAKE BANDHA, etc. His collaboration with acclaimed cinematographer and director Dinen Gupta left an indelible mark on Indian television. Notably, he also played a crucial role as Second Assistant Director in the Hindi feature film MICHAEL, which garnered international recognition at the Toronto Film Festival and Asian Film Festival.
Sohm’s creative journey extended to Ravi Ojha Production House, where he directed projects like OGO BODHU SUNDORI and ROILO PHERAR NIMANTRAN. Later, as a creative director at Surinder Films, he steered successful TV serials such as DHANNI MEYE, MEGHER PALOK, MUKHOSH MANUSH, DUI BHUBONER PAARE and KHUSHI. He has taken various television projects of different production companies to a high level of success. Notably, SONAR HORIN, CHENA ACHENA, SIMANA CHHARIYE, KHONA, RAKTO PALASH, BASUNDHORA, DURGA, PAYER TOLAR MATI, JAO PAKHI, ICHCHHEDANA, CHARULATA, 21SE PAA, ADORINI, etc. Beyond the screen, Dilip’s expertise shines in directing documentaries and corporate projects sponsored by the Government of West Bengal and India. Notable among these is the thought-provoking documentary titled “CHILKIGARH KANAK DURGA BIODIVERSITY HERITAGE SITE.” In summary, Dilip Payra (Sohm) embodies the fusion of creativity, technical prowess, and a relentless pursuit of storytelling excellence.

Ajanta Ray

Filmmaker/Director/ Co-founder

Ajanta Ray, a multifaceted artist, seamlessly blends her talents as a dancer and vocalist. Her journey has been as diverse as her skills—she once graced news channels as an anchor and reporter, and her analytical mind led her to work as a researcher for the renowned television show Prathoma on ETV channel. In 2011, she assumed the role of Chief Coordinator for the prestigious Anandalok Film Awards. She also worked with legendary music director Bikram Ghosh on Tv shows Nabadurga as vocal artist.
However, her creative spirit truly found its home when she joined forces with Nandita Roy and Shibaprasad Mukherjee as a core team member at Windows Production. There, she lent her artistic vision to various film projects, notably, “Accident”, “Muktodhara” and “Alikh Shukh” leaving an indelible mark. Fueling her passion further, Ajanta later co-founded her production company, Dreamwreathe, alongside director Dilip Payra (Sohm). Now, as partner and CEO of her own company, Ajanta oversees a diverse portfolio of projects, including corporate ventures. Her extensive experience and proven track record in managing complex endeavors position her as an ideal leader. With her wealth of knowledge and keen observational skills, she’s poised to ensure the success of every project she touches.

Sutanu Gupta

Film-writer & Editor

Arenowned National award winning Scriptwriter & Film Editor/ director. A Graduate in Philosophy from Calcutta University and a Diploma holder in Cinema from FTII, Pune. Mr. Sutanu Gupta has been an active film writer/director/Editor since the last two decades in Indian film Industry. His knowledge in the field of Cinema is legendary, and his work in various fields has been appreciated recognized and rewarded by the Indian Film Industry. He has edited many Advertising Films, Short Films and documentaries, including Govind Nihalani’s award winning documentary on NDDB and Uma Segal’s NATIONAL AWARD winning documentary film on slum-demolitions named, SHELTER. He also wrote the critically acclaimed Govind Nihalini’s mega-serial TAMAS, Shyam Benegal’s epic-serial DISCOVERY OF INDIA and Ketan Mehta’s feature film HERO HIRALAL. Along with director Raj Kumar Santoshi he was bestowed with the NATIONAL AWARD & FILMFARE AWARD for feature film GHAYAL. He also was actively involved in writing the story screenplay for NATIONAL AWARD winning film DAMINI for which he also received the FILMFARE AWARD for the BEST STORY. He donned the hat of writer, producer and Director for the Super-natural Television serials AGAR and ROSHNI. Shortly he started writing for Mahesh Bhatt’s TV serial ZAMEEN-ASMAAN and all the episodes of Raman Kumar and Karan Shah’s mini-series named X-ZONE. His contribution to films is no less. He has written the Story & Screenplay for many feature films released in the recent past, namely, ANJAAM, FARZ, DILLAGI, BADAL, KISMAT, HAWA, SHAHEED: 23rdMARCH, along with a very successful BENGALI film named HAAR-JEET. He was instrumental in writing the screenplay for the film directed by Mr. Ajay Devgan starring himself & Kajal titled, “YOU, ME AUR HUM!” also recently wrote ZINDAGI LIVE on euthanasia which is about to release. Also wrote the Story& Screenplay of a Punjabi film titled, “THE LION OF PUNJAB”, directed by Guddu Dhanoa, which fetched the Best Actor’s award to it’s lead actor Daljeet Dashanj. His contribution towards Bengali films and television is also immense, he wrote t “KANKANJALI”, a mega TV Serial Produced by Prasenjeet Chatterji and aired on Zee Bangla. He has also written the biopic titled, “PARTITION”, on the life of Shaheed Nanak Singh, to be shot in London by director Avtar Bhogal for Producer Mr. Rami Ranger. Among the current assignments are, “HEADLINES”, a socio-political satire to be directed by Ashwini Dhir, which is scheduled to go on the floor in the near future. At present writing the Story & Screenplay of “I AM NOT DAMINI”~ a sequel to “DAMINI”, an issue based researched-film on assaults on women, Produced by Nickel Encyclomedia. He has also written an Odhia Film based on the short story ’MIMANSA’ of Dr. Pradeep Das which was Directed by Chakradhar Sahu and has been released recently with critical acclaim. Not only in the field of Cinema he’s also writing a collection of short stories and a book of Philosophical essays named LIQUID RAINBOW to be published as soon as they get completed! He has been active and involved in conducting guest lectures, taking workshops with the students in various campuses, participating in the admission process, staff selection and formulating the syllabus, as well as being an examiner for the Post Graduate and Undergraduate students in media schools.

Agnidhra Ray

Photographer

Agnidhra Ray is a young photographer, based out of Kolkata, and has a lot of achievements under his belt. He has been very determined to constantly push himself to create better photographs, ever since he started shooting at a very young age of 14. He has completed his graduation from Symbiosis School of Photography and has a degree in Bachelor of Arts. Not only has he scored a scholarship, during his time in college, but he has also worked with the Andhra Pradesh government to help them create a promotional film for their tourism. He is a minimalist at heart and believes that simplicity is the key to the future of art.

Ujjwal Mukherjee

Chief Film Editor & Post Production Head

Ujjwal Mukherjee has over 27 years of experience as a film and television editor. He started his career in the film industry in 1997 as an editor. He worked with the well-known editor Ramesh Joshi as an associate editor until 2008. After that, he worked for two years as an associate editor on several films with renowned editors including Satyendra Mohanty and Arghya Kamal Mitra. He also gained experience in modern editing techniques working with acclaimed documentary filmmaker and director Mark Ostrik. He has successfully edited many films in Bengali, Bhojpuri, and Hindi with renowned directors in these industries. As he edited “My Tears (Hindi),” “Kolkattia Bhouji (Bhojpuri),” “Malinga (Bhojpuri),” “Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (Bengali),” “Gobhir Gopon Brishti (Bengali),” “Pratiksha (Bengali),” “Rangmahal (Bengali),” “Its Basanta (Bengali),” “Parabasa (Bengali),” “Rangeen (Bengali),” “Shooter (Bengali),” “Ami Mantri Habo (Bengali),” “The Bhoot of Rose Valley (Bengali),” and “Rabindranath (docu feature) (Bengali).”
In addition to his work as a television editor, he has edited fiction and non-fiction work for various channels. He has edited many works in television such as “Anubhab,” “Ahankar,” “Nirmala,” “Sur,” “Somoyer Chhonya,” “Dalia,” “Swapnar Dekha,” “Tapur Tapur,” “Seemana,” “Abela,” “Pratikkha,” and “Apan Por” for various TV channels. He has edited in several short films, including “Ichcha Dana,” “The Trap,” “17th June,” “Anusandhan,” “Porichoy,” “Tarke Bohu Dur,” “Pantik Manush,” “Shunyo Theke Shuru,” “Hardware Software,” “Aami Kone Meye,” and Anikere Chatterjee’s “Subla” (Cannes Festival). Ujjwal Mukherjee is a highly skilled editor of documentary films. He has worked on such films as “Abbas Uddin Samiti” (six episodes), “Bijoy Dibos,” “Palashi theke Dhanmondi – Bengal London project,” “ISKCON,” and documentaries on “Barun Sengupta” (Bartaman News Paper). He also edited “Chalachitrer Chalchitra” – a documentary about 100 years of Bengali cinema.

Costume Designer & Head of Styling Team

Graduating with Bachelor in Design from Nation Institute of Fashion Technology, Bhubaneswar. Dreamwreathe gives me the freedom to work as a designer and stylist. Earlier to this I had worked with companies as a designer during my studies. I love to style costumes in such a way that it brings out the best in the garments and brings the characters to life through their attire.
